Learning Technology Standards
Enabling Learning Technologies and Interoperability through International Standards and Specifications
International learning technology standards and specifications help to describe various learning technologies and can promote their interoperability.
Throughout my career I have participated on the development of informal specifications, international standards and approaches to interoperability (e.g., federated search and data exchange). My work has helped foster the development of educational digital libraries (including NEEDS and smete.org) and informed softwares architectures and data model (including Open Embedded Assessments used in the Connected Learning Initiative as well as the Digital Credentials Consortium).
