MIT OCW Gets URLs that Make Sense!

Yay, MIT OCW has moved to a new content management server, in doing so, they’ve also managed to clean up their URLs!

New:
http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/physics/8-01-physics-i-classical-mechanics-fall-1999/

Old:
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Physics/8-01Physics-IFall1999/CourseHome/index.htm

No longer is there a “random” sub-directory before the content, it’s now just courses. No longer is the course home page inside a subdirectory, it’s now at the top level.

Also…the course content is stored withing the course structure itself. Which is great for everyone else (except for us in my Project Greenfield work).

New:

Old:

Congrats, OCW!

(And if you’re concerned about broken links, they’ve done some massive redirects to keep everything working.)
